Situated in Assam on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River, with its wetlands and tall thickets Kaziranga NP supports the world's largest population of one horned rhinoceroses as well as many other mammals including the Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, leopard, species of deer, langur, buffalo and thousands of birds.
Day 1: Kolkata - Kaziranga
Kolkata - Kaziranga (via Guwahati). An early morning meet and greet, and transfer to the airport in time to connect your fight for Guwahati, transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight - Kaziranga NP (L, D)
Days 2 - 3: Kaziranga NP
Early an elephant ride and morning and afternoon game drives in shared jeeps or Canters. Kaziranga National Park lies to the south of the mighty Brahmaputra river and is famous for its Indian Rhinoceros population which is estimated at 1,100 + and is by far the best place to see them in India. Other large mammals include the Water Buffalo, Swamp Deer and Gangetic Dolphin. The park may be explored by riding elephant or 4-wheel drive motor vehicles. Overnight - Kaziranga NP (B:2, L:2, D:2)
Day 4: Kaziranga - Kolkata
Kaziranga - Kolkata (via Guwahati). Drive to Guwahati airport and fy to Kolkata, transfer to hotel. Afternoon at leisure. You will be transferred to the airport in the evening to board your onward fight (B)
